Friday, February 5, 2021 -Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo has reignited her war with DP William Ruto saying the DP was lying about his humble beginning.
To challenge Ruto, she asked him to produce any photo or a video to prove he sold chicken along the Eldoret-Turbo Highway the way he has made Kenyans to believe.
Millie was making this full blown submission on Thursday February 4 KTN News where she referred to William Ruto as a rich campus youth who was cruising in cars when she was walking on foot.
She went ahead to claim that she schooled with Ruto at Nairobi University UoN the same year and also served together in Christian Union CU. She confirmed to know Ruto very well and at that time he was already driving when the rest of the students were walking.
“This notion that this is a guy who struggled and was so poor and stuff is a lot of baloney. I was with him in the Christian Union and immediately we left the university campus, some of us used to walk and eat maize worth Ksh10 while he would be cruising in vehicles written ‘Youth for Kanu 92’,” Millie stated.
She also added that Ruto, if true he sold any chicken in Turbo then he did it as a side hustle and not as his only means for survival.
“He never hustled and cannot purport to identify with people that he calls hustlers,” the MP deconstructed.
To prove that everyone has his past, MP Millie said many Kenyans seen today in offices, came from somewhere poor and therefore Ruto cannot claim to have all the bragging rights for poor persons in the world.
Ruto who is on a three days tour at the Coast, yesterday Thursday February 4 reiterated that his Hustler Narrative was a serious agenda for this country and the slogan will continue to rally together the less fortunate for an economic empowerment.
“Our wheelbarrow symbol is a very serious thing. Other parties with symbols like cockerel (Kanu), Umbrella (Wiper Party) and Orange (ODM) should tell us what they stand for,” he said.
He went on to term his detractors as desperate enemies of change who peddle lies to defeat justice.
