Friday, May 24, 2024 –Cabinet Secretary Public Service, Moses Kuria, has said he has no plans to step down from office.

He flagged the viral X post as fake and urged the public to ignore such posts meant to add friction within their government.

“It has come to my attention that a fake X account has been spreading incorrect information and opinions falsely attributed to me. Please be aware that this account is not mine,” CS Kuria clarified.

Kuria also asked Kenyans to unfollow such social accounts or even block or report them so that to reduce the spread of fake information through pseudo accounts being run under his names.

“Report the fake account, unfollow, and block the fake account. Thank you for your support and vigilance! Let’s put an end to misinformation together,” he added.

In the questionable post, CS Kuria had been claimed to be planning to quit government because of the manner in which Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was being tread in Kenya Kwanza government.

The flagged post indicated that President Ruto had ditched the DP and had begun working with politicians allied with the opposition parties.
