On the other hand, entire Kakamega County alone already has a total of 100 victims breaking the record as the highest number in a single county in the at a particular time.
Further breakdown from anonymous sources showed that among the reported patients are prison warders, inmates among others. Students are also part of the number.
“The patients include prison warders, inmates, medical workers, MCAs and one student but I can’t name the institution,” anonymous senior health official divulged.
In the same county, Nabongo Health Center facility is reportedly shut down due to the same reasons where nurses are affected. Moreover, several public departments in the area have also been hit hard including Finance and Trade.
Medics have blamed the rise in number to inadequate training and level of preparedness including insufficient protective gears leading to the rise of infections.
