Wednesday, October 4, 2023 -Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar were on Tuesday engaged in a fierce war of words in the ongoing National Dialogue Committee sittings held at the Bomas of Kenya.
A clip has emerged on Twitter in which angry Kalonzo can be seen firing back at Hassan who seemingly had mentioned Raila Odinga in bad faith.
Kalonzo, who is the co-chair of the Committee, can be seen telling off Hassan to stop insulting Odinga before the committee.
“You cannot insult Raila here. I am also ashamed that you were secretary general of my party at some point,” Kalonzo firmly states.
On the other hand, Hassan Omar who is representing United Democratic Alliance UDA Party is heard asking Kalonzo to stop intimidation and mentioning who will and who will not be governor.
“Also stop intimidating us. Stop talking about governor here or governor there.
“That’s why you will never be President of Kenya. That I can give it to you” Omar harshly responded.
At that point, an undeterred Musyoka tells him that he will never be governor of Mombasa County.
This is happening as co-chair Cecile Mbarire struggles to calm the escalating storm by urging Hassan to tone down so that the dialogue session could go on.
This is not the first time Hassan is exchanging with Azimio leaders in the meeting, a week ago, he was on record exchanging with Embattled Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni in what almost degenerated into a a fist-fight.
