Former Constitutional Minister Martha Karua has blocked renowned city blogger Abraham Mutai for posting her past photo.
Karua took action against the vocal blogger Mutai immediately he had posted the controversial photo and captioned it, “”But if there are people who should really keep quiet about Election integrity is Martha Karua”.
Mutai was responding to Karua’s cry about electoral fraud by reminding her of her bad side when she was still powerful in the Kibaki regime that she never lasted long citing frustrations.
In the said photo, Karua looked frowned and her facial expression told it all on how she hated Raila Odinga even after they bungled 2007 elections that was widely believed to have been squarely won by ODM leading to Post Election Violence that eventually culminated into a Kibaki/Odinga Handshake before Mr. Odinga was finally handed Prime Ministerial post.
The Mutai’s post saw Karua quickly jump to her Twitter handle to block the veteran blogger who still responded with a cryptic remark.
“She didn’t take long,” Mutai tweeted as Karua hit back again by saying some Kenyans were so ignorant on social media.
“Twitter is great it allows great ideas as well as total ignorance to be displayed in equal measure!” she answered back.
But even as this was happening, Kenyans sided with Mutai by saying Karua played a major role in the 2007 Post-election Violence by blocking justice using her office. She was at that time serving as Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
She wielded power much that she did not care about other Kenyans from the rest of the country. Unfortunately, her fate was finally sealed when the man who she was protecting tooth and nail ended up frustrating her what finally pushed her out of office.
She is currently ‘jobless’ with her attempts to make a comeback having been thwarted by new entrant Anne Waiguru who beat her hands down in the last general elections.
She tried to protest in court without much success.
