Saturday, January 9th, 2021 -Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has expressed his interest in Homa Bay gubernatorial race 2022.
Kidero who ruled Nairobi city in a much controversial manner where he was linked to a number of multimillion fraud accusations, has now relocated to his Homa Bay County where he wants to succeed Governor Cyprian Awiti.
According to news reaching Homenews desk on Saturday January 9th, Mr. Kidero showed confidence that he was the best man to change the County in terms of development agenda.
Currently, the county is under Cyprian Awiti who is serving his second and last term what must have informed Kidero’s interest in the seat.
He further mentioned his past track record and high end connections as what the electorates in the area must use to gauge his ability to take over from Mr. Awiti.
He is currently busy doing campaigns on the ground and spending time with the poor villagers so as to entice them towards his side.
The former Nairobi city Governor was addressing residents at Kasipul Constituency where he has pitched camp since Friday. He also held a number of door to door meet the people tours in Rangwe Olare Trading Center, Karachuonyo.
He used the opportunity to ask the locals to give him a chance to showcase what he can do when elected to office.
The ex- Nairobi governor, however, has pending fraud cases in court.
