President of Tanzania John Pombe Magufuli has been declared the winner of Presidency 2020.
Reports reaching Homenews.co.ke indicate that Mr. Magufuli won the race with 12,516,252 votes against his close competitor Tundu Lissu who garnered 1,933,271 votes.
“Tume ya Taifa ya Uchaguzi (NEC) imemtangaza Dkt.John Pombe Magufuli wa CCM kuwa Mshindi wa Urais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania kwa kupata kura 12,516,252 akifuatiwa na Tundu Lissu mwenye kura 1,933,271, Mama Samia Suluhu ametangazwa kuwa Makamu wa Rais,” a tweep by th ename of Malardayo updated.
Magufuli will be serving his second term despite his administration having been accused of several atrocities both national and international.
His relationship with other countries especially Kenya has had its ups and downs with President Uhuru Kenyatta at some point blaming him for some border related matters.
