Sunday, October 29, 2023 –South Mugirango Member of Parliament MP Sylvanus Osoro was on Sunday captured bragging about how rich and powerful he is in Parliament.
In a viral clip widely shared on platform X on Sunday October 19, the second term UDA Party MP is heard ordering locals in Bomet Rift valley to sit quietly down and wait for his sh 200 each handout.
Addressing in the chaotic National Government Affirmative Action Fund NGAAF event on Sunday, Osoro bragged on how he has amassed wealth in the two-year stint he has been in Parliament.
“I am the senior most in Parliament and I always receive a lot of bribes from MPs who are seeking to fly out for vagarious House duties. They must give me something before living the country,” he divulged.
The National Assembly Chief Whip, therefore, asked every attendant to sit down and wait to receive a paltry sh 200 from him saying that is nothing to him compared to what he has been doing in his home Constituency.
“In my home, I line up kilometers of people and still afford to give each sh 200. So this one here is a very small task to me. Sit down and wait quietly,” he ordered.
He went on to claim that the people who had showed up today at the Bomet event were very few as he is used to lining up droves of masses for handouts every weekend in his area.
“You are quite very few. You have to sit down quietly and wait I finish to talk then I pay you your share immediately,” he added.
In the function hosted by Woman Representative Linet Toto, chaos engulfed the atmosphere after youths allied to Senator Wakili Sigei and those allied to Governor Hillary Barchok openly clashed after the National Assembly Majority Whip Mr. Osoro took to the podium.
