Wednesday, April 28, 2021 -Succession politics continues to take new shape as new entrants announce their plans to lead the country after President Uhuru Kenyatta’s exit.
And speaking just days after veteran Gospel artist Reuben Kagame announced his bid, Kenyan comedy act Walter Mong’are alias Nyambane has also joined the race.
The former Redykyulass main actor revealed his plans to be on the ballot which he termed as valid at the time the nation was struggling with who to vote for next.
“I used to imitate presidents and you know, you can act something until you become. I think I faked it and I am hopeful to make it someday. My president understands what is happening on the ground. Elections are coming in 2022 and our president has done what he needed to do within the abilities and the capability he had, so we are coming in this 2022,” Said Nyambane.
He added that his aim is to give the country an opportunity to decide if they want someone who can ‘restart’ the country or go for the old guards.
“We are giving Kenyans another opportunity for them to choose someone else to proceed. At this time, I do not know who is going to be the President, but I can’t rule even myself out. Dreams are valid,” he stated.
Nyambane further detailed his achievements as the Deputy Director in the Youth Programme. He disclosed how he has helped young people in the country through offers and advise.
