Obado ‘kneels down’ for Odinga as he pledges loyalty to ODM[Video]

Embattled Migori County Governor Okoth Obado has reiterated his undying support for the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Amollo Odinga.

The governor who attended a burial event of the late father to Awendo MP Walter Owino, finally met with his boss Raila Odinga who also attended the function on Friday October 10th.

This was the first time after a very long time amid Obado’s impeachment plans that have failed to kick off for the fourth time in a raw. Obado is accused of not only perpetrating wanton graft within the county but also leaning his  support towards DP William Ruto’s 2022 ambitions.

“Baba, what has been peddled to you against me is utter falsehood and rumors meant to create a rift.

“My support for the BBI and your presidential bid has been unwavering. We are all seeking to go to Canaan,” Obado said.

This happened shortly after Obado’s security details clashed with Senator Achilo Ayacko detail bringing tension that was later brought to control by police officers.

It was reported how more than 20 police officers arrived at the venue and managed to quell the tension which was quickly building up. They managed separating the two rival groups. And when reached for a comment, Governor Obado could not speak anything on the matter; neither could Ayacko.

Mr. Odinga, on his part, said he would reunite both Governor Obado and Senator Ayacko for the sake of the Building Bridges Initiative, BBI whose main agenda centers on unity and peace.

He stated that he would be happy to intervene and bring to an end the Migori stalemate so that the county can prosper.

He was however not able to categorically state whether he was willing to save Obado from the looming ouster or not.

Also present was Minority leader in the National Assembly Mr. John Mbadi who played cagey on the impeachment topic despite having been on the fore front to champion for Obado’s removal.
