Former US President Barrack Obama has congratulated his former Vice President Joe Biden after he won elections.
Through his social media pages, Obama noted that he was happy to see his Vice President rise to power as the 46th President of the United States of America USA.
“Congratulations to my friends Joe Biden and Kamala Harris our next President and Vice President of the United States,” he wrote.
Deadline.com reported that Biden was finally elected as the 46th president of the United States of America with his Vice President Kamala Harris.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama also rushed to Twitter to offer her congratulations and continued preaching healing and unity message.
“And after we celebrate — and we should all take a moment to exhale after everything we’ve been through — let’s remember that this is just a beginning,” wrote Obama. “It’s a first step,” Deadline.com further quoted her.
Barack Obama was a powerful force for Biden on the campaign trail this year. Not only did the former president speak glowingly and with obvious affection of his longtime friend, he played the role of attack dog, as well. In a series of lacerating speeches, Obama used his considerable speaking skills to rip Trump’s policies and highlight his personal failings.
Hillary Clinton, who was Obama’s Secretary of State, also tweeted Saturday in celebration of “a history-making ticket, a repudiation of Trump, and a new page for America.”
It is now official that the Democrats will be bouncing back to power after some 4 years of struggle.
