Opposition leader Raila Odinga has extended an olive hand to the Deputy President William Ruto after the latter talked about supporting the BBI process.
Though, there have been mixed reactions over the sudden change of tune from DP William Ruto, the former premier now thinks Ruto and his team can finally join them since they(Tangatanga) have already felt an early defeat.
That just like any other Kenyan, the DP was welcome to push on with the strongest team as per the adage, “If you can’t beat join them”.

Mr. Odinga who was speaking this with Sunday Nation in an exclusive sit down interview, however noted that, Ruto’s coming to join them this late will be treated with cautiousness since his aim is yet to be made clear.
“Those having a change of mind like Ruto are welcome to join, if you can’t beat them join them;” Raila has said.
He, however went on to recounted how Ruto played political games during the 2010 New Constitution where he signed to support the constitution only to make a U-turn just days later and started fighting them, but luckily, the Yes would later run away with the Victory.
Unfortunately and as fate would have it, Ruto became the biggest beneficiary of the same Constitution he had all along rejected fangs and tongs.
Odinga in the same interview, wondered why Ruto would be supporting something he never liked in the first place calling this hypocritical tactics meant to hoodwink the country. He therefore challenged him to first sign his signature on BBI Forms.
Odinga and Mr. Kenyatta have been defending the BBI process saying it had a lot of good things for Kenyans even though it may fall short of some.
