ODM Governor Regrets Taking the job, Says its a Hard Task

Wednesday, June 9, 2021 -An Orange Democratic Movement ODM Governor Wilber Ottichilo has confessed his regrets for becoming Governor for Vihiga.

According to the Star paper, the county boss regretted his decision of becoming a governor saying this was a great mistake he will not want to repeat again.

He reportedly said that throughout his political journey, this is the most difficult task he took and which has given him nightmares.

The governor added that he has been subjected to ridicule, too much pressure, disrespect from electorates with high expectations. In fact, he argued it is this high pressure that development in Vihiga could not be realized.

“Being a governor is a very difficult job. Sometimes I regret why I became a governor. The pressure is too much and expectations from voters is very high. The pressure is so intense that you cannot have time with your family. When you get home in the evening, you are so tired that you don’t want to talk to anybody” The Star quoted the governor.

His remarks are coming at the time Vihiga County MCAs are planning to send him packing for incompetency.

Before becoming a governor, Ottichilo was the member of Parliament Emuhaya Constituency where he also performed dismally.
