Citizen Digital was quick to report how the Kiamokama ward Member of County Assembly MCA Ken Mainya died while on his way to Nairobi for a specialized treatment. He died after reaching Narok town.
Kisii County Assembly Majority Leader Timothy Ogugu confirmed the news to the media saying the diseased was headed to Nairobi Hospital.
Further reports reaching this desk on the afternoon of Sunday showed that the deceased fell ill and had been admitted at Oasis Specialist Hospital in Kisii town on Thursday where he was receiving treatment before he was on Sunday morning referred to the Nairobi facility.

The deceased was elected to the County Assembly of Kisii in 2013 through the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party and retained the seat in 2017.
Sources have claimed that he has been one of the vocal MCAs in Kisii County with strong ties to ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
