Tuesday, March 2, 2021 – Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga was in Coast Region where he continued with his BBI tours.
However, as they held successful rallies around the Coast, conspicuously missing was Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who was a complete no-show.
Thousands actually turned up to meet Mr. Odinga at every spot he made a stopover to address them.
The ODM team continued preaching their BBI gospel and maintained this must culminate into a Referendum so that the required Constitutional changes can be realized.
During the tour, Odinga inspected the ongoing construction of the Mwatate Sub county Hospital Isolation Unit in Mwatate town.
A few weeks ago, Mr. Joho announced that he will be on the ballot in 2022 come what may and has already tendered his qualification papers to their ODM Party.
He went on to express optimism that if allowed to run for primaries in their ODM Party, he will definitely beat Mr. Odinga to become the ODM flag bearer.
“Nimeambia yale majimbo ambayo tumefanya nao siasa, tumewaunga miaka kadhaa, na sasa watuunge. Tumewasaidia, watusaidie. Tumewabeba, watubebe. Tumewaskuma, watuskume. Shida iko wapi?” He posed.
Thousands led by Taita Taveta County Governor Granton Samboja turned up to receive Raila during his Coastal Region tour.
