Monday, March 15, 2021 -Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga will be away from public engagements for a period of 30 days as doctors continue to monitor him.
Raila, who had been hospitalized at Nairobi Hospital for six days, left the facility on Sunday with a video to confirm his discharge being highly circulated.
In the video clip, a sprightly Odinga is seen exercising as his daughter Winnie engages him over his health.
“You are back home… How do you feel for all those days? Let me keep my distance from you. It is good to have you back home Dad,” Winnie is heard saying from the background.
In response, his father Mr. Odinga who is donning a black sports shoes and red cap is heard, from far, confessing how happy he was to be back to freedom.
“It is wonderful; it really feels nice to be back home. I was like in prison back there. I like to be in fresh air, I am still in isolation,” Raila responded.
Sources now claim the opposition figure will be out of the limelight for one months. This is in accordance to his doctors led by his personal physician Oluoch Olunya.
They want Mr. Odinga to take a long rest that must not be less than 30 days before resuming his political events. It is also revealed that only his family and a few select aides will be allowed to access him during this period.
On his part just minutes after his discharge, Mr. Odinga mentioned that he will continue staying in self-isolation until he will be deemed fit to mingle.
