Thursday, April 22, 2021 -Silas Jakakimba has made official plans to vie for the Lang’ata Parliamentary seat which seems to be attracting a wealthy number of contestants.
Currently, the seat which was Odinga’s before the area was divided into two(Kibra and Lang’ata), is held by Deputy President William Ruto’s ally Nixon Korir who, according to speculations, is among the youngest lawmakers in the country.
On the other hand, the flamboyant Jakakimba who has been Odinga’s long serving aide, on Tuesday April 21, took to his Twitter page to report how his plan to run in 2022 is quickly gaining momentum after one of his friends from outside the country pledged to deposit a whopping $ 100, 000 into his campaign kitty.
The visibly happy Lawyer Jakakimba was grateful to the friend who has led others in supporting his 2022 political ambitions. He will therefore be facing off with the likes of Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o, Nixon Korir whose star is currently on the downfall among many others.
In the viral document from a section of voters in his Lang’ata Constituency, it was clear that 80 % of bursary beneficiaries are from Kalenjin Community where the MP also comes from.
