Ruto claims BBI agenda today is not what Uhuru told him

President Uhuru Kenyatta allegedly lied to his deputy while nominating representatives for the Building Bridges Initiative BBI.

In his sit down interview with Citizen’s Joe Ageyo on Thursday December 3, the DP shocked the country after he roped his boss’ name in the mischief surrounding the whole BBI process by saying the purpose of the agenda, all of a sudden, changed along the way.

He further confessed to be true that the head of State consulted him before forming the BBI secretariat a process he immensely nominated a few persons into the team with hopes that it would strictly deal with matters peace, only for this to change along the way.

Ageyo sought to know how this happened and insisted that Ruto should shed some more light on this dilemma, before the DP started twisting his tongue and blaming this shenanigans on their ODM counterparts.

He would struggle through the interview trying to indirectly lay the blame on Uhuru Kenyatta through Mr. Odinga.

“Maybe people from ODM did not want me to get involved and I have no problem with that,” he asserted and added:

“I participated in the nomination of those who are in the BBI committee…but changing the constitution was not part of their brief. When the exercise was concretized into a constitution, it was necessary for us to step in and look at the proposals made”.

Ruto and his team now want the issue of Referendum to be postponed and if possible to take place the same day as the forthcoming 2022 General Election.
