Confirming this, Letoo, a journalist at Citizen Tv, said that this took place on Friday August 31 night when he had parked his car along a petrol station at Muthangari Road in Lavington, Nairobi.
He was processing a few errands when this occurred and when he returned to the car, he noticed that windows had been crashed down with his laptop, hard drives, personal belongings and VIP invitation cards for his thanks giving event to take place soon, missing.
Interestingly, he read mischief in the attack saying he couldn’t understand why only his car was targeted out of the rest.
“I am still doing an assessment to find out if there is anything else they took. There were many vehicles in the parking lot I believe this was not an isolated case since I am the only one who found my car in that state,” he was quoted.
Letoo then reported the robbery matter to Muthangari Police Station where he acquired OB Number 04/02/09/2023.
This Letoo’s case adds to the number of journalist recently attacked, robbed and injured while on and off duty.

For example, African Uncensored’s John Allan Namu, on March 27, 2023, raised concerns over fellow journalists who faced assaults and arrests as they covered the latest mass demonstrations staged by the Azimio la Umoja coalition.
Moreover, other journalists suffered the same fate in subsequent scenarios around the country.
