Ex Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu sold 10 acres of land along Kangundo Road to over 190 people. The court charged last Friday Sept 18th.
During the hearing, the former county chief was asked by the court to pay trespass fine of sh 1 million as well as hand over all the documents of the land to the owner.
He committed the offense when he was serving as a Member of Parliament according to papers seen by Homenews.co.ke.
Further details which our desk had a sneak preview at indicated that the said 10 acres land belonged to a real estate firm which has been ordered to repossess it with documents from Mr. Waititu.
“I am satisfied that the plaintiff had proved its claim against the defendants and it is entitled to the prayers sought in the plaint.
“The defendants shall vacate within 90 days failure to which the plaintiff is at liberty to apply for eviction orders,” the judge ruled during the session.
The court was told that Waititu, severally issued threats at the Real Estate firm owners whenever they attempted to asked I back.
“After I paid a 10% deposit, we verbally agreed that I could move in and subdivide the land for sale to raise the balance of the purchase price,” Mr. Waititu argued.
It must not be lost that two years ago, the ex-governor was also embroiled in another land tussle with a widow who claimed that Mr. Waititu had invoked Uhuru Kenyatta’s name while grabbing over her 9 acre land.
According to embattled Waititu, the land in question was part of his efforts in reposing parcels that had been grabbed from government.
Ferdinand Waititu was therefore largely impeached on such grounds when most Senators were moved by the narration from the helpless widow.
He is nolonger the Kiambu Governor after his able Deputy James Nyoro was handed powers to replace him and now running the affairs of the County.
