Why Ruto’s attacks on Raila are meant for Uhuru

Chrispen

Sunday, February 14, 2021 – Deputy President William Ruto and his boss Uhuru Kenyatta are gloves off but the former seems not ready to vacate the bout citing Constitution.

It is undeniable that Uhuru Kenyatta is done with this marriage but defiant Ruto, for his own reasons, wants to hang on until the end. That is not the problem anyway; the problem starts when Ruto instead of facing his boss in the eye and tell him off, he unfortunately keeps diverting his anger on Mr. Raila Odinga. What does this have to do with Raila? He has even trained his dogs to blame Raila anytime they are punished by Uhuru. For instance, when Senator Irungu Kang’ata deliberately misbehaved and was shown the door, the first person Kang’ata saw was Raila. He has since kept clearing Uhuru of any wrong doing and blaming Odinga for his woes. It is just pure deceit on the side of Tangatanga. It makes it even hard to work with such persons around; no wonder Uhuru is angry.

Realistically, Ruto is just playing dirty mind games with Kenyans as he seems not a clear leader when it comes to making firm stand and decisions. How he keeps evoking the name of Raila Odinga anytime he feels hit by Uhuru makes some of us wonder his consciousness. For instance, when Uhuru recently told him to leave office if he can’t tore the line, Ruto in a rejoinder blamed Raila and the Handshake. How does Raila now come into this? It is unfortunate that the DP can even claim it is Odinga who send Uhuru to utter the resignation remarks against him.

“If you are praising it [government] stay in, if you are dissatisfied, get out,” Uhuru said during his recent Uthiru tour.

DP William Ruto should therefore stop evoking Odinga’s name anytime he is mentioned by the president. Uhuru was clear that Ruto must plan to resign if not satisfied. Ruto cannot therefore turn around this message and claim Odinga is the problem. That amounts to diversionary.

Ruto just wants to remain in power because he fears several other things can come out once he pens that final letter. It will perhaps leave him exposed and that makes the main reason he wants to hang around upto the end.

This behavior of speaking this one minute and next minute he is speaking something else is what Uhuru referred to as a culture of ‘Double Speak’ which is a very dangerous weapon when being mishandled by a politician.

Uhuru and Ruto have severed ways because of their own issues which they know by themselves and upto this level, I doubt if Mr. Odinga is interested in their toddler drama. It is very hard to believe that Raila keeps discussing Ruto with Uhuru. Maybe that is what the DP used to do and now he thinks everybody can do that.

People think or speak what is in their heart. When we see Ruto suspect Odinga everyday it shows what he(the DP) used to do when he was in good terms with Uhuru. He must have been discussing Raila all day long. He now thinks the same could be happening against him.
