Woman in Omwenga’s murder speaks about what happened

The woman who was seen with the slain Kevin Omwenga has finally spoken about what she saw that particular night.

In a damning revelation while penning down her statement on the murder, she intimated having been with the diseased and that this was her initial stages of meeting him.

CCTV footage showing the late Omwenga with the woman in question.

She further told police that she was not quite familiar with Mr. Omwenga but had come in to see him on the fateful night.

On the night of the chilling shooting that claimed life of the 28 year old car dealer, the footage which was retrieved showed the diseased pick the woman on an elevator and engaged in what seemed a casual chat as they walked towards his house. Later on, the key suspect Robert Bodo Ouko walked into the house, engaged them abit before requesting to meet Omwenga in private. The two then walked into his bedroom.

Ouko, according to the woman in question, joined them in the living room together with victims brother Wycliffe alongside other men.

“A few minutes later, we heard a loud sound similar to that of a gunshot coming from Omwenga’s bedroom,” the lady told the DCI.

The key suspect Ouko, on his part, indeed confirmed that the shooting took place but was not intentional as the trigger accidentally pulled over when they were arguing over the same killer weapon. He also disclosed having taken the firearm from his boss Chris Obure at Senteu Plaza.

Omwenga’s brother, on the other hand, discussed with police what he also saw that night saying after the gunshot, he rushed to the room only to find the victim’s body floating in a pool of blood while the suspect was in a hurry to leave.

Wycliffe then rushed his brother Kevin to the Nairobi Women’s Hospital Adams Arcade branch where he was pronounced dead; while the suspect and the woman remained behind.
