This was during the initiation ceremony of Munya’s son Karauni Munya. In the photos that were leaked online, Senator James Orengo, a close longtime ally to Odinga, was also present.

Details of this meeting were first made public on Sunday August 9 evening by former State house Digital Director Dennis Itumbi.

According to Mr. Itumbi, the discussion centered on revenue sharing formula and the elusive Building Bridges BBI initiative.

“We cannot forget that at the end of the day we are serving people, we want people to live decent lives and I am sure with the leadership of Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, Kenya will earn respect.

“We only have two years to have BBI passed, let us continue working together,” noted Orengo.

The Siaya lawmaker, also seized the opportunity to rally for equal distribution of country’s revenue as the only fair way of treating every citizen as an equal partner in this country.

This development is happening just a day after Uhuru’s top insider Mr. Murathe had endorsed former premier Raila Odinga as their preferred next presidential candidate in 2022.

“We think it’s time Kenyans rewarded the years of struggle of Raila Amollo Odinga. They owe it to him. It’s like Mandela, and 2022 will be a Mandela Moment,” he said.

Murathe, however, clarified that Odinga must accept to remain a transitional head of State for younger blood to take over.
