Monday, June 14, 2021 -Deputy President William Ruto still receives alot of information from Uhuru’s Cabinet. Details emerge.
Interestingly, this is happening despite him having been sidelined now for a couple of years.
According to the Daily Nation on Monday June 14, most cabinet members have reportedly been leaking out vital information they discuss in private chambers during cabinet sessions always presided over by their boss President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ruto was kicked out of Uhurus’ inner circle after Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i proved to be competitive enough to help Uhuru run government.
Now according to latest reports, Uhuru Kenyatta is facing management upheavals as a number of CS continue feeding his Deputy with State information which Ruto uses to hit at the government on his rallies.
Ruto also uses such information to announce to the public developments plans before Uhuru himself makes this public.
“It is so difficult in the Cabinet. We live suspicious of each other lest you speak out of turn,” a CS told the Daily Nation.
And just a couple of days ago, the DP was on record confessing how he receives vital intel from Uhuru’s inner circle. He claimed that many cabinet members share a lot with him because they know he is the next president
“I meet them. But because of the nature of politics in Kenya today, if you are seen with William Ruto, the next morning, DCI will be harassing you. Many of them prefer that we have these discussions in private,” the DP divulged last April while on a tv interview.
He threatened that in afew months to come, most of those who believe in him will start stepping forward and the country will be shocked by the large number of them who are in complete support his ambitions.
“When all this is done and dusted and all the people I talk to step forward, people will be very shocked that they accept and support the Hustler system,” he told Citizen TV.
Uhuru and Ruto’s bad blood worsened just a few months after they took over power for their second term; with the former accusing the latter of misusing his office by overstepping mandate and staging early campaigns across the country.
